Las fotografías se desarrollan en la casa de mis abuelos, un espacio íntimo y lleno de significados donde transcurre gran parte de su vida cotidiana. Es ahí, entre pasillos, habitaciones y rincones familiares, donde capturé momentos espontáneos que revelan la belleza de lo simple: gestos repetitivos, acciones comunes y pequeños rituales que construyen la identidad del hogar. Para mí, este entorno no es sólo un fondo, sino un protagonista silencioso que sostiene cada imagen y cada palabra compartida. Las imágenes transforman este lugar en un territorio emocional donde se entrelazan memorias, afectos y complicidades. La casa, con su carga simbólica y afectiva, se convierte en un punto de encuentro entre generaciones, un espacio donde lo cotidiano adquiere una dimensión universal. A través de estas fotografías, mi intención es compartir ese universo doméstico que tanto me ha formado, y mostrar cómo, en lo más simple, habita también lo más profundo.
¿Por qué son importantes estas fotografías en particular para su investigación?
Estas fotografías son fundamentales para mi investigación porque representan la convergencia entre mi vida personal y mi trayectoria como fotógrafa y artista visual. He vivido con mis abuelos desde que era niña; ellos me vieron crecer, y yo los he visto envejecer. Este vínculo cotidiano, lleno de pequeños gestos y momentos compartidos, ha sido una fuente constante de observación, afecto y aprendizaje. Fotografiarles me ha permitido documentar ese universo íntimo y también verme reflejada en él: en sus rutinas, en su forma de habitar el hogar, en la memoria que compartimos.
Como artista, siempre me ha interesado explorar lo doméstico como espacio emocional. Este trabajo marca un punto clave en mi recorrido, ya que me permite unir mi mirada profesional con una experiencia profundamente personal. Con esto, no sólo se trata de capturar imágenes, sino de preservar vínculos, de reconocer cómo el tiempo transforma a quienes amamos y cómo esos cambios también nos atraviesan. A través de estas fotografías, traduzco en imágenes y palabras la riqueza de lo cotidiano, haciendo visible lo que a menudo pasa desapercibido, y reafirmando que el arte también puede ser un acto de cuidado, memoria y amor.

The photographs were taken in my grandparents’ house, an intimate space full of meaning where much of their daily life takes place. It is there, among corridors, rooms, and familiar corners, that I captured spontaneous moments that reveal the beauty of simplicity: repetitive gestures, common actions, and small rituals that build the identity of the home. For me, this environment is not just a backdrop, but a silent protagonist that sustains each image and each shared word. The images transform this place into an emotional territory where memories, affections, and complicities intertwine. The house, with its symbolic and emotional charge, becomes a meeting point between generations, a space where the everyday acquires a universal dimension. Through these photographs, my intention is to share that domestic universe that has shaped me so much, and to show how, in the simplest things, the most profound also dwells.
Why are those particular photographs important to your research?
These photographs are fundamental to my research because they represent the convergence between my personal life and my career as a photographer and visual artist. I have lived with my grandparents since I was a child; they watched me grow up, and I have watched them grow old. This daily bond, full of small gestures and shared moments, has been a constant source of observation, affection, and learning. Photographing them has allowed me to document that intimate universe and also to see myself reflected in it: in their routines, in the way they inhabit their home, in the memories we share.
As an artist, I have always been interested in exploring the domestic as an emotional space. This work marks a key point in my journey, as it allows me to combine my professional gaze with a deeply personal experience. With this, it is not only about capturing images, but also about preserving bonds, recognizing how time transforms those we love and how those changes also affect us. Through these photographs, I translate the richness of everyday life into images and words, making visible what often goes unnoticed, and reaffirming that art can also be an act of care, memory, and love.
