Dr Denisse Sepúlveda está trabajando actualmente en la University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, cómo investigadora postdoctoral. Se graduó de sociología con un magister en Género y Cultura de la Universidad de Chile. Denisse es Doctora de Sociología en la Universidad de Manchester. Su PhD es sobre las consecuencias de la movilidad social de personas indígenas, y cómo ellas negocian sus identidades según clase y etnia. Denisse obtuvo el premio de votación online ‘People’s choice PGR image award 2018’, en la competencia de fotografia de postgrado en la Universidad de Manchester. Además, sus fotos son parte del libro de compilación fotográfica en digital “Postales del Estallido Social Chileno: entre la vivencia y la memoria” 2020, de la revista de Ciencias Sociales Némesis. Dr(c) Francisca Ortiz Ruiz esta actualmente haciendo un doctorado en el departamento de sociología en la Universidad de Manchester, en Reino Unido. Es sociologa de la Universidad Alberto Hurtado, y realizó su master en la misma disciplina en la P. Universidad Católica de Chile. Su investigación actual es sobre cómo las personas mayores construyen sus redes de soporte al vivir con un sistema neoliberal de pensiones, desde una perspectiva longitudinal y de métodos mixtos. Sus temas de interés son los métodos mixtos (MM y MMSNA), metodologías de la investigación, análisis de redes sociales, sociología relacional y gerontología social. Desde que tiene memoria ha sido amateur de la fotografía (cuenta de instagram aquí), y ha realizado varios análisis de investigación incorporando la fotografía como metodología; especialmente en prensa, archivos, documentación, documentos legales y películas. Dr Denisse Sepúlveda is currently working at University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, Haute école de travail social ▪ HES-SO Genève as a postdoc researcher. She is a Sociologist with a Master’s Degree in Gender and Culture at the University of Chile. Denisse is a Dr from the Sociology Department at the University of Manchester. Her PhD is about the consequences of social mobility of indigenous people and how they negotiated class and ethnic identities. She was the online winner of the ‘People’s choice PGR image award 2018’, Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase Awards, The University of Manchester. In addition, her photos are part of the book of photographic compilation in digital “Postcards of the Chilean Social Outburst: between experience and memory” 2020, of the journal of Social Sciences Nemesis. Francisca Ortiz Ruiz is currently doing her PhD in the Department of Sociology at the University of Manchester, UK. She is a Sociologist from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado, with a Master’s Degree in Sociology at the P. Universidad Católica de Chile. Her current research is about how older people construct their support network to live with a neoliberal system of pensions, from a mixed-method and longitudinal perspective. Her areas of specialization are mixed methods (MM and MMSNA), methodologies of research, social network analysis, relational sociology and social gerontology. Since he can remember he has been an amateur of photography (instagram account here), and has carried out several research analyzes incorporating photography as a methodology; especially in press, archives, documentation, legal documents and films.
