Los registros fotográficos se enmarcan en el proyecto de tesis de grado para optar al título profesional en Antropología Social, denominado: Entre Ollas y cucharas de palo: Patrimonio gastronómico cultural chileno desde la tradición y la identidad local, el cual busca dilucidar la relevancia de la gastronomía en el marco del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de tres comunidades emplazadas en la región de Coquimbo, Valparaíso y del Biobío, a raíz de un estudio comparativo entre zona norte-centro-sur. La presente tesis tiene por objetivo analizar las dimensiones sociales y culturales de la gastronomía nacional, la puesta en valor de los elementos que constituyen a la cocina tradicional chilena en el área patrimonial inmaterial y la elección de dietas particulares según la realidad cotidiana de las tres localidades a investigar.
¿Por qué son importantes estas fotografías en particular para su investigación?
Las fotografías adquieren relevancia para demostrar visual y gráficamente tanto la elaboración de los platos que son base central de la tesis de grado como a su vez la comensalidad y el rito alimentario en su materialidad tangible, el registro de estas actividades y de la forma de llevarlas a cabo es lo que permite finalmente hacer una comparativa entre las tres localidades a investigar, ya que todos nos alimentamos de diversas maneras y mantenemos costumbres distintas en el momento de sentarnos en la mesa al comer. Dentro de las metodologías utilizadas para la tesis de grado, las metodologías participativas tales como Focus Group, Lluvia de Ideas y Entrevistas grupales de carácter semiestructurado están amparadas con diversidad de herramientas, donde la cámara para el registro audiovisual aparece como referente para plasmar esta serie de registros en la tesis en cuestión, por lo que las fotografías son un pilar fundamental para desarrollar una de las finalidades de la investigación reflejada en un recetario etnográfico.
Between Pots and Wooden Spoons: Local Gastronomic Heritage in Coquimbo and Concepción.

The photographic records are part of the thesis project to qualify for the professional degree in Social Anthropology, called: Between Pots and wooden spoons: Chilean cultural gastronomic heritage from tradition and local identity, which seeks to elucidate the relevance of the gastronomy within the framework of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of three communities located in the region of Coquimbo, Valparaíso and Biobío, as a result of a comparative study between the north-central-south zone.
The objective of this thesis is to analyze the social and cultural dimensions of national gastronomy, the enhancement of the elements that constitute traditional Chilean cuisine in the intangible heritage area and the choice of particular diets according to the daily reality of the three localities. to investigate.
Why are those particular photographs important to your research?
The photographs acquire relevance to visually and graphically demonstrate both the preparation of the dishes that are the central basis of the degree thesis as well as the commensality and food rite in its tangible materiality, the recording of these activities and the way of carrying them out. This is what finally makes it possible to make a comparison between the three locations to be investigated, since we all eat in different ways and maintain different customs when sitting at the table to eat.
Within the methodologies used for the degree thesis, participatory methodologies such as Focus Group, Brainstorming and Semi-structured Group Interviews are supported by a variety of tools, where the camera for audiovisual recording appears as a reference to capture this series of records in the thesis in question, so the photographs are a fundamental pillar to develop one of the purposes of the research reflected in an ethnographic recipe book.
