Las fotografías expuestas se enmarcan bajo la realización del proyecto Fondart Nacional 2022 titulado “15 MINUTOS DE FAMA”. Mediante el ejercicio de montar un estudio fotográfico de moda de manera repetitiva por distintas partes de la Región Metropolitana (Chile) se pretende capturar la diversidad de identidad que transitan la urbe bajo el foco de la moda. Por medio de una curadoría instantánea a partir de algo que nos llame la atención de esa persona se le invita a posar en nuestro set de moda. Este registro visual disecciona la multiplicidad de identidades que hoy transitan el runway callejero capitalino quienes a su vez, conforman lo que hoy entendemos por sociedad. A través del registro fotográfico se hace una lectura de diversos fenómenos sociopolíticos que han contorneado la identidad de múltiples personas que hoy transitan las calles de esta ciudad.
¿Por qué son importantes estas fotografías en particular para su investigación?
La fotografía para nuestra investigación sirve 1. Ser registro de los cambios estructurales y sociopolíticos que se evidencian a través de las identidades que hoy transitan la Región Metropolitana. Para lo anterior se hace la triangulación identidad, ciudad y memoria 2. Sirve como soporte desde un lado científico/de registro y, además, edifica desde perspectivas creativas una investigación que colecciona fotografías a modo catálogo de estas diferentes personas.

The exhibited photographs are framed under the realization of the National Fondart 2022, project titled ‘’15 MINUTES OF FAME’’. Through the exercise of setting up a fashion photographic studio in a repetitive way in different parts of the metropolitan region (Chile), the purpose is to capture the diversity of identities that walk through the city but are seen under the spotlight of fashion. Through an instantaneous curatorship based on something that catches our attention from the person, who is invited to pose in our fashion set. This visual record dissects the multiplicity of identities that today walk the capital’s street runway, who in turn, configure what we today understand as Society. Through the photographic record, we make a reading of various socio-political phenomena that have shaped the identity of multiple people who today walk the streets of this city.
Why are those particular photographs important to your research?
Photography is useful for our research: 1) Register the structural and sociopolitical changes that are evidenced through the identities that today transit in the metropolitan region. For this, the triangulation of identity, city, and memory is made. 2) Serves as a support from a scientific side as a register and also builds from creative perspectives an investigation that collects photographs as a catalog of these different people.
